A love for carving, rediscovered
Hi, I'm Amanda Kate, and this little corner of the internet is where my two worlds meet.
It started with my dad. He's been carving wood for over 40 years, and by the time I was 11 or 12, I had a blade in my hand and a ribbon on the wall.
Then life happened. Teenage years turned into young adult years, and the tools got tucked away. It wasn't until my 30s that something pulled me back. I started with tiny cat magnets and relief carvings, and just like that, the love for it was back like it never left. Along the way I discovered something else I love: adding crystals to my pieces for a little extra spark and a touch of glam. It's become a signature part of my work.
By day I'm a Senior Financial Analyst; numbers and spreadsheets. But in my spare time, this is where I live. In the future, you'll also find my dad's work showcased here. Stay tuned!
